Will West gave you his predictions earlier and now it is time for me to give you my fearless predictions.
Conference Predictions:
SEC:
East: Florida
West: LSU
Sleeper: Tennessee
Conferences Champ: UF - Like Will said earlier, this is the most obvious pick in college football. The Florida Gators will go undefeated in the SEC and actually have an easy SEC schedule. Alabama and Ole Miss are not on the schedule and Florida has two weeks to prepare for the tough road game at LSU. The upset special could be if Bobby Petrino has a few tricks up his sleeve when Arkansas plays the Gators on Oct. 17.
ACC:
Coastal: Georgia Tech
Atlantic: N.C. State
Sleeper: North Carolina
Conference Champ: GT - Georgia Tech's offense will take another step forward now that the offensive line has a better understanding of Paul Johnson's offense. Jonathan Dwyer will have one of the best years in all of college football and might get invited to New York as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. North Carolina is a year away, but this team is dangerous if some of the star recruits on this team start producing. Butch Davis is very close to taking over the ACC with his good recruiting classes.
Big Ten:
Champ: OSU - So many people here in SEC country love to rip Ohio State, but there is no denying that Terrelle Pryor will have a dominant season this year for the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes will beat USC on Sept. 12 and don't be surprised if the Buckeyes come close to an undefeated season. The Buckeyes end the season with two tough road games at Penn State and Michigan.
Sleeper: Assuming that Rich Rodriguez can last the whole season, this team will be one of the biggest surprises in the country. Greg Robinson was a great addition as the new defensive coordinator and the Wolverines will beat Notre Dame and finish with at least eight wins.
Big 12:
South: Oklahoma
North: Nebraska
Sleeper: Baylor
Champ: Oklahoma - This team has too much talent for Oklahoma not to win this division. Sam Bradford will have another strong season and Jermaine Gresham is a future Pro Bowl tight end in the NFL. Baylor and Nebraska will be two surprise teams that will play upset teams in the conference and Baylor will finally make a bowl game.
Big East :
Champ: USF - I agree with Will here as seniors Matt Grothie and George Selvie will lead this team to the school's first ever BCS game. Don't be surprised if coach Jim Leavitt leaves in the offseason for another school now that this team will have a huge year.
Sleeper: Syracuse - This is my biggest surprise as I think Greg Paulus will have a good season and don't be surprised if Syracuse makes a push for a bowl game. The Orange play winnable games at home against Minnesota, Northwestern, Maine and Akron and could upset other Big East teams. Doug Marrone has this team headed in the right direction.
Pac 10:
Champs: USC - Pete Carroll has too much talent on this team for the Trojans not to win the conference again. This team does scare me as they keep losing more and more players to injuries. Joe McKnight and Stafon Johnson should both have big years for the Trojans.
Sleeper: Stanford - Jim Harbaugh's team will win at least seven games and Stanford might upset Oregon at home on Nov. 7.
BCS:
Sugar: LSU vs. Penn State
Orange: USF vs. Georgia Tech
Rose: Ohio State vs. USC
Fiesta: Texas vs. Notre Dame
BCS Title: Florida beats Oklahoma - Many people see Texas here, but I see the same game as last year's BCS National Championship and this game will have the same result with Tim Tebow ending his career with a third ring.
