Travis Henry is not a Virgin

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow confirmed at the SEC Media Days this past week that he is indeed a virgin. Fanhouse.com’s Clay Travis asked Tebow if he is saving himself for marriage and the University of Florida quarterback said that he is indeed waiting until he is married to lose his virginity. Former Los Angeles Lakers forward A.C. Green did the same during his playing days but he was nowhere near as popular as Tebow is currently.

I disagreed with Travis asking this question at SEC Media Days, but I do understand the point that since Tebow wears his religion on his sleeve that this is a relevant question. When Tebow wears bible verses on his eye-black markings during games, the verses get thousands and thousands of hits on Google and other websites.  Clearly his message is reaching fans all across the nation so we should respect the former Heisman trophy winner for trying to make a difference.

Fans that hate are jealous of Tim Tebow might snicker when he talks about his virginity just like we giggled as immature kids during our first sex-ed class.  I give huge props to Tebow for sticking to his message and handling a poor question well. Many athletes would have been better off (and have less child support payments) if they would have followed Tebow’s path.  Travis Henry, Shawn Kemp, Evander Holyfield, I am talking to you.
