The U.S. started strong with an early goal by Charlie Davies, but that was the only goal they scored as they lost to Mexico 2-1. Mexico's Miguel Sabah scored in the 82nd minute, improving Mexico's home record against the Americans to 23-0-1. A very good showing by the Americans, but they just looked gassed at the end.
