ESPN says to take Michael Turner. Then bemoans the curse of 370. CBS Sports says that MJD’s the guy. Do you roll the dice on Stephen Jackson? Was Matt Forte a 1 year wonder? The big question facing fantasy football fans as they prepare to draft is who to take after Adrian Peterson.
Most likely Drew Brees and as many as 3 other QB’s will score more overall points than will the second best RB in the game. But if Tony Romo, Trent Edwards(remember he’s throwing to a T.O. and Lee Evans this year), Carson Palmer, or David Garrard only finish 2 or 3 ppg behind the top tier QB’s, why not use the first rounder elsewhere? ESPN’s Kevin Daube points out that the biggest drop off from first to second tier player is at WR. So, why not draft Larry Fitzgerald number 2? This one won’t go away until the drafts are done and we still aren’t sure who to pick. We’re leaning towards taking RB’s with our first 3 picks regardless of who’s on the board.
