*MLB Trade*
The St. Louis Cardinals traded key prospect Brett Wallace, outfielder Shane Peterson and and right-handed pitcher Clayton Mortenson for Oaklans Athletics outfielder Matt Holliday. [ESPN] The A's will also throw in $1.5 million in the deal. Holliday is a free agent in the offseason and is hitting .287 with 11 homers and 54 RBI. Could this be the move that leads Albert Pujols and the Cardinals back to the World Series? I still think they are a step behind the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers, but Holliday might be more motivated now that he is back in the National League.
