• Joe Posnanski ranks the top 100 players in the majors: A Little late on this, but we wanted to chew on it a bit. Zack Greinke at 4 is a little too high. Sure he’s got an arsenal of pitches, but we’d like to see him do it for more than 1 year. Morneau’s got to be better than 14 as well. Still, ballsy to take on this task. A great read. [SI]
• Matt Holliday singled, stole a base, and scored in his first game with the Cards: I don’t think that it’s hyperbole to say that Holliday willed the Rockies to a World Series berth a few years back. Batting him behind Pujols makes you have to pitch to #5. That’s bad news. Cards will win the Central after this move. [Post-Dispatch]
• The Blazers have signed PG Andre Miller of Philly: I once compared the Blazers front office moves to playing with a brand new set of titaniums in the 1970’s…still stand by it. Portland would have been better served to find a PG that plays off the ball and let Roy continue handling the rock, but this still works. This team is deep and talented. [Oregonian]

• Gawker posts the surprise ending for new movie Orphan: Greatest spoiler of all-time. Wow!!! This movie truly is the worst piece of crap since Nic Cage last did any movie that he’s ever been in. This ending is soooo bad that I might have to see it just to witness the train wreck unfold. [Gawker]
