Did The Bengals Actually Miss Last Week’s Game-Winning Kick?

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Shayne Graham kicked a game-winning 31-yard field goal against the Cleveland Browns in overtime last Sunday and Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan believes that Graham actually missed the kick. This interests me, because I thought the same thing every time CBS showed a replay of the kick. It might have been a bad angle, but the kick did look like it went wide right. The missed field goal is at the 5:28 mark. I will rarely agree with one of Buddy Ryan's sons, but surely the NFL couldn't make a mistake like this. Right?

  • I'm sorry, being a Browns fan you probably didn't recognize it... that's what winning looks like. I know its probably very confusing for you, having never seen it, but when the football goes through the uprights, we call that a "good" field goal. I know you Browns fans are acustom to holding on to things that aren't really there, but this is even a stretch for you guys. I don't know what game you were watching but the ball clearly went through the uprights. And, looking at Rob Ryan's defense, I don't think he is really in any kind of position to be making judgement calls, like whether a field goal is good or bad. Abra-cadabra homes!
