Today is the one year anniversary of Lane Kiffin's brilliant decision to have Sebastian Janikowski attempt a 76-yard field goal last year for the Oakland Raiders. Janikowski has one of the strongest legs in NFL history, but this goes down as one of the dumbest calls in NFL history. Remember that Antonio Cromartie was on the field for this attempt and that Cromartie already returned a missed field goal 109 yards for a touchdown earlier in his career. If Daniel Lincoln tried the same kick, would he make it pass the 50-yard line?
