San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested today and accused of restraining and choking reality TV star Tila Tequila. She is Merriman's girlfriend and called 911 saying that the star linebacker chocked her and she was thrown to the ground of Merriman's home as she tried to leave. The Chargers are set up to be one of the best teams in the NFL season, but this is a huge blow to the Super Bowl hopes of the Chargers. This will be a big distraction all season and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be watching this case very closely.
