NFC Unit Rankings: WR’s

larry_fitzgerald

1)   Arizona Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald established himself as the best WR, if not the best player, in the game last season. Anquan Boldin would be the number 1 guy on any other team in the conference. Steve Breaston’s thousand yard season in 2008 was no fluke. Expect Early Doucet to have a slightly larger role this year.

2)   New Orleans Saints: Marques Colston and Lance Moore are a fantastic 1-2 punch. Devery Henderson is a fine third receiver. Expect Reggie Bush to line up in the slot more this year. If Skyler Green or Robert Meachem ever play near their potential the Saints could have one of the more prolific offenses in the history of the game.

3)   Green Bay Packers: Donald Driver and Greg Jennings are about as solid as it gets. Jordy Nelson is one of our breakout players this year.

4)   Minnesota Vikings: This speaks as much to the lack of game-breakers in the conference as it does to the Vikes talent. Bobby Wade’s a solid possession guy. Bernard Berrian is nice deep threat. Percy Harvin should step in and contribute if he can handle Favre’s fastball. It’s now or never for Sidney Rice.

5)   Philadelphia Eagles: This spot would have gone to Atlanta if Harry Douglas were healthy. There’ no clear number 1 on the roster, but Kevin Curtis, DeSean Jackson, and Hank Baskett would probably see the field anywhere. Jeremy Maclin adds depth. Andy Reid’s hoping that Reggie Brown can return to his 2006 form.
