With fantasy football drafts and NFL games starting soon, here are some very important injury updates:
- Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders might start this season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Sanders underwent offseason surgery on his right knee and might be the most valuable defensive player in the NFL. The Colts will not last long in the playoffs without Sanders.
- Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nate Washington could miss several games to start the season with a hamstring injury. Rookie Kenny Britt is worth a look in deep fantasy leagues now that Washington is expected to miss some time.
- Former Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno and LaMont Jordan might miss the season opener. Correll Buckhalter is expected to see plenty of action as the starter, but keep an eye former Arkansas running back Peyton Hillis.
- New York Jets rookie Shonn Greene will miss the rest of the preseason after suffering cartilage damage in his ribs. Greene was expected to be a big part of the running back rotation with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington and will be a stater for this team in the near future.
