*Editor’s note: This is not going to happen, but for you Tennessee fans that love drinking the orange Kool-Aid, here are five ways that the Vols can pull off the huge upset against the Gators:
1) Nu’Keese Richardson pulls a Brandon James: The man that is target #2 for Florida fans will be a big part of this game. Urban Meyer thought Richardson was going to commit to the Gators and he committed to play for the Vols. It is very dangerous to have freshmen return punts and kicks in The Swamp against the Gators, but Lane Kiffin has confidence in Richardson as a playmaker. If Richardson returns a punt or two against the Gators, the momentum will be with the Vols.
2) Jonathan Crompton forgets that he is Jonathan Crompton: Tennessee fans forget that Crompton had one of his better games last season against the Gators. Crompton completed 18-of-28 passes for 162 yards, one rushing touchdown and one interception. If Crompton can find a way to ignore the hecklers in The Swamp and put together productive drives, this offense will gain confidence in their quarterback.
3) Bryce Brown and David Oku live up to the hype: Both freshmen running backs have had early success in their young careers at Tennessee, but neither running back did well in last week’s loss to UCLA. Oku is an underrated part of this game as Crompton should use Oku as his security blanket when the Gators blitz the Vols. If either running back has over 125 yards rushing or multiple touchdowns, Florida’s defense will not be able to put as much pressure on Crompton.
4) Tennessee fans pull a Celtic Pride with Tim Tebow: Celtic Pride is an underrated sports movie that is about two Celtic fans that kidnap their opponent’s star player to make sure their team wins. The scary party here is if Tennessee fans do this with Tebow, John Brantley would still lead the Gators to a victory over the Vols.
5) Kanye West interrupts every Florida touchdown: Kanye had no problem interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the VMA’s and the Vols defense needs Mr. West to do the same every time the Gators are about to score. Now that Kenny Chesney is boys with Tim Tebow, the Vols could use another musician to jump on board the Tennessee bandwagon.
