Eagles Sign Jeff Garcia
We already mentioned that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is expected to miss Week Two’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a broken rib and now the Eagles are turning to an old friend to fill in for McNabb. The Eagles signed Jeff Garcia on Monday and Garcia was 5-1 with the Eagles in [...]
NFL Recap – Things We Learned Today Part One
The Carolina Panthers are idiots: They signed quarterback Jake Delhomme to an extension in the off season that will keep him in Carolina through 2014. Delhomme proved he is worth the money by throwing four interceptions in the Panther’s 38-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Philaphia Eagles defense would make Jim Johnson proud: The former [...]
Donovan McNabb Has Broken Rib
In what might up being good news for Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb suffered a broken rib in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 38-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. Kevin Kolb is the backup if McNabb has to miss any time and Vick is eligible to play in Week Three.
Vicks Eligible to Play in Week Three
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced today that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is eligible to play week three. Goodell said that Vick is “Demonstrating his commitment and will use better judgment going forward.” The Eagles open at Carolina and then play the New Orleans Saints at home. NFC Unit Rankings: WR’s
1) Arizona Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald established himself as the best WR, if not the best player, in the game last season. Anquan Boldin would be the number 1 guy on any other team in the conference. Steve Breaston’s thousand yard season in 2008 was no fluke. Expect Early Doucet to have a slightly larger role [...]
NFC Unit Rankings: QB’s
1) New Orleans Saints:Anyone outside of the bayou know who backs up Drew Brees? Don’t feel bad, most don’t. Brees has quietly become the most reliable signal caller in the conference despite spending much of the last two seasons without his playmakers for large stretches and former first rounder Robert Meachem offering nothing in the [...]
NFC Preseason Power Rankings
While the NFC has its share of top tier teams, there really isn’t a juggernaut that separates itself from the crowd. Here’s how we rank them coming into the season:
1) NY Giants: The key here is depth and consistency. No member of the starting OL has missed a game in two seasons. Drafting William [...]
Can Vick Contribute?
Lost in all of the Vick discussion is whether he will actually be a difference maker this year. Surely, Vick out of the wildcat won’t be enough to catapult the Eagles over the Giants, though some have them as NFC East front runners anyway. For now, we’ve eliminated Dallas and Washington from contention. The Cowboys [...]
